Content: The 4th China Solid Waste Utilization and Low-Carbon Civil Engineering Materials Academic and Technical Exchange Conference will be held from April 17-19, 2026 at the Baodaiqiao International Hotel in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. This conference is jointly hosted by the Building Materials Industry Technology Information Institute, Wuhan University of Technology, Shandong University, and the Suzhou Advanced Research Institute of Hohai University, with the theme of "Innovation Empowerment, Cross-border Integration, and Accelerating High-Quality Development of Solid Waste Governance."

The conference will focus on exchanging ideas regarding the current challenges in solid waste utilization and key technical directions of solid waste in the field of engineering construction. Five major technical forums are planned: Solid Waste-Based Low-Carbon Cementitious Material Preparation and Multi-Scenario Application Forum; Coal-fired Power Plant Solid Waste Environmental Disposal and Innovative Application Forum; New Energy Solid Waste Recycling Forum (covering retired wind turbine blades, retired photovoltaic modules, and waste power batteries); Engineering Slag and Sludge Treatment and Utilization Forum; and Bulk Solid Waste Disposal and Diversified Utilization Forum (covering steel slag, red mud, tailings, and phosphogypsum).

The conference will be held concurrently with events such as the National Solid Waste Utilization and Low-Carbon Civil Engineering Materials Technology and Equipment Exhibition, a special salon on the development of the solid waste-based cementitious materials industry, and an exchange meeting on the "going global" strategy for solid waste utilization technologies and equipment. The conference is being held at a crucial time following the release of the "Ten Measures for Solid Waste Management," and is of great significance for promoting the resource utilization of bulk solid waste and realizing the low-carbon transformation of civil engineering materials.
