Fiberglass Geogrid Composite Geotextile

The use of geosynthetic reinforcement in roadways can provide improved performance as demonstrated in numerous field tests and studies. It is common practice in many regions to install a reinforcement layer (e.g., geogrid) between the subgrade and base course to provide stiffening, reinforcing, and volumetric control, along with a filtration layer (e.g., non-woven geotextile). Alternatively, composite products can combine the functions of geogrids and non-woven geotextiles by bonding two products together into one composite product. There is limited testing information comparing geogrid reinforcement overlying non-woven textiles versus geogrid–geotextile composites.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Keywords:

Fiberglass Geogrid Composite Geotextile

Introduction

Fiberglass geogrid composite nonwoven fabric consists of fiberglass yarn coated with bitumen, PVC or SBR, combined with geotextile.

This material delivers high tensile strength in both warp and weft directions, low elongation, wide operating temperature range, outstanding anti-ageing performance and alkali resistance.

In comparison with conventional fiberglass geogrids, it can lower construction costs, extend pavement service life and inhibit reflective cracking. It is also suitable for soft soil subgrade reinforcement in railway and water dam projects.

The geogrid substrate is woven on Dornier weaving looms and treated with polymer coating. Two composite technologies are available: stitch-bonded and adhesive bonded.

FAQ

Q

Q: What happens if the product is damaged during transportation?

A

A: We take the following measures to reduce risk: Export-grade packaging + pallet securing; Taking photos to confirm packaging condition before shipment; Arranging third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS, etc.).

Q

Q: What trade terms and payment methods do you accept?

A

A: Trade Terms: FOB (major ports such as Qingdao/Shanghai/Tianjin), CIF, and CFR are all acceptable. Payment Method: T/T wire transfer (usually 30% deposit + 70% balance upon receipt of copy of bill of lading), details negotiable.

Q

Q: Can you provide samples?

A

A: Yes. We provide free samples (small size), with shipping costs borne by the buyer. For pre-production samples before large-volume orders, a sample fee is required, which will be refunded upon placing a formal order. Samples usually come with corresponding test reports for customer verification.

Q

Q: What are the production cycle and delivery time?

A

A: Standard products are typically produced and shipped within 10-20 business days after order confirmation. This depends on: product type and quantity; whether customized specifications are required; and we recommend informing us of your target delivery date in advance so that we can arrange production and booking accordingly.

Q

Q: How should the product be packaged? Is it suitable for sea freight?

A

A: All products use export-grade packaging: Geotextile/Geomembrane: Roll packaging, with an outer PE film or woven fabric protective layer, suitable for container loading. Geocells: Can be folded into rolls to save on shipping costs. Drainage Boards: Flat or roll packaging, depending on order quantity. Packaging design fully considers the requirements for moisture and abrasion protection during sea transport. Palletized packaging and customized shipping marks are available.

Q

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A

A: The MOQ varies depending on the product: Geotextile/Geomembrane: There is no strict MOQ for standard specifications, but ordering in rolls is recommended to optimize costs. Geocell: Usually priced per area, small batch orders are acceptable.
