Dewatering Container Geotextile

Geotextile tubes are large, high-strength geotextile structures for sludge and sediment dewatering. They separate water from solids by allowing filtrate to pass through the fabric while retaining solid materials. Widely used in dredging, mining, wastewater, agriculture and coastal engineering, they offer a low-cost, reliable alternative to traditional mechanical dewatering equipment.

Product Introduction

Geotextile tube is a large tubular structure fabricated from high-strength engineered geotextile. It is designed for solid-liquid separation, sediment containment and dewatering of high-moisture sludge, sediment and residuals.

The geotextile fabric features controlled permeability: it permits water to drain out while trapping solid particles inside the tube. In typical operations, sludge conditioned with polymer is pumped into the geotextile tube. Clear filtrate escapes through the textile pores, and solids accumulate within the tube. Once dewatering completes, the retained solids can either be landfilled or excavated for beneficial reuse.

Such geotextile dewatering sacks are well-suited for pulp and paper facilities for primary and secondary lagoon cleaning. They also serve mining operations to manage tailings, coal sludge and other mineral residues. In potable and wastewater treatment sectors, they can cut Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) levels by 75–80%. Within agriculture, they effectively manage waste from dairy, poultry and other farm enterprises.

A broad selection of dimensions is available to accommodate different handling volumes and site space constraints. These dewatering systems may also be installed inside portable roll-off bins and moved around the site as necessary. This technology ranks among the most adaptable and efficient sludge separation solutions currently available.

BENEFITS OF OUR GEOTEXTILE DEWATERING SACKS

  • High permeability allows moisture removal from residuals while securely holding solids
  • Easy operation: no moving mechanical components prone to breakdown or abrasion damage
  • Custom manufacturing with robust stitching to endure pressure during sludge pumping
  • The filtered outflow can be recycled or safely released into natural waterways with no further treatment
  • Mature sludge separation technology with refined circumferential seam construction. This design delivers superior tensile strength for large tubular units under high pumping loads
  • Multiple dimension options to match varying throughput and site limitations
  • Professional technical backing, including layout consultation and polymer dosing guidance tailored to your sludge characteristics

APPLICATIONS

  1. Sludge & sediment dewatering: municipal sewage sludge, river/lake dredged sediment, lagoon sludge
  2. Mining industry: tailings management, coal sludge dewatering, mineral residue containment
  3. Pulp and paper mills: primary & secondary lagoon cleaning, organic sludge treatment
  4. Wastewater treatment: reduction of BOD, suspended solids and organic contaminants
  5. Agriculture: manure handling for dairy, poultry and livestock farms
  6. Coastal & hydraulic engineering: shoreline protection, breakwater construction, erosion control
  7. Disaster prevention & remediation: flood control, contaminated sediment cleanup
  8. Land reclamation: marine fill projects, shore stabilization

FAQ

Q

Q: What happens if the product is damaged during transportation?

A

A: We take the following measures to reduce risk: Export-grade packaging + pallet securing; Taking photos to confirm packaging condition before shipment; Arranging third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS, etc.).

Q

Q: What trade terms and payment methods do you accept?

A

A: Trade Terms: FOB (major ports such as Qingdao/Shanghai/Tianjin), CIF, and CFR are all acceptable. Payment Method: T/T wire transfer (usually 30% deposit + 70% balance upon receipt of copy of bill of lading), details negotiable.

Q

Q: Can you provide samples?

A

A: Yes. We provide free samples (small size), with shipping costs borne by the buyer. For pre-production samples before large-volume orders, a sample fee is required, which will be refunded upon placing a formal order. Samples usually come with corresponding test reports for customer verification.

Q

Q: What are the production cycle and delivery time?

A

A: Standard products are typically produced and shipped within 10-20 business days after order confirmation. This depends on: product type and quantity; whether customized specifications are required; and we recommend informing us of your target delivery date in advance so that we can arrange production and booking accordingly.

Q

Q: How should the product be packaged? Is it suitable for sea freight?

A

A: All products use export-grade packaging: Geotextile/Geomembrane: Roll packaging, with an outer PE film or woven fabric protective layer, suitable for container loading. Geocells: Can be folded into rolls to save on shipping costs. Drainage Boards: Flat or roll packaging, depending on order quantity. Packaging design fully considers the requirements for moisture and abrasion protection during sea transport. Palletized packaging and customized shipping marks are available.

Q

Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A

A: The MOQ varies depending on the product: Geotextile/Geomembrane: There is no strict MOQ for standard specifications, but ordering in rolls is recommended to optimize costs. Geocell: Usually priced per area, small batch orders are acceptable.
